Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reports to: Chief Accountant


Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial accounting and reporting functions, with a focus on banking operations, trust receipt (TR) facilities, accounts payable, import payment tracking, cash flow forecasting, and monthly financial closing. This role requires strong coordination with banks, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, while providing management with real-time visibility of the company’s financial commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Banking & Treasury Management

Manage daily bank reconciliation and maintain accurate records of bank and Trust Receipt (TR) balances.

Adequate utilization of TR facilities with banks for working capital.

Coordinate with banks and Liaise with bank Relationship Managers for smooth execution of payments and other transactions.

Accounts Payable & Import Finance

Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.

Perform monthly closing activities, including prepaid and provision entries.

Reconcile inter-bank and inter-company transactions.

Post bills, approvals, allocations, and shared expenses with accuracy.

Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses for management review.


You will play a critical role in driving financial discipline, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role offers exposure to international trade finance, dynamic banking operations, and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).

- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge of banking operations, Trust Receipt facilities, and import finance.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Zoho Books/Odoo is a plus).

- Strong understanding of IFRS standards and UAE financial regulations.

- Advanced skills in MS Excel; ability to prepare detailed trackers and financial reports.

- Excellent communication skills for coordination with banks, suppliers, and management.

- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
