Job Description The role This hands-on role in the Financial Control team reports to the Director of Financial Control (MENA) and is critical for maintaining accurate financial control and regulatory compliance across all MENA entities. A key function of the role is to interface with external auditors for both local and Group audits, managing queries and ensuring timely preparation and submission of audit documentation. The senior analyst will also be the primary resource for producing, validating, and analyzing regional regulatory returns, and must collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Treasury, Group Regulatory Reporting) to ensure all obligations are met in a controlled and timely manner. If successful, you will be joining at an exciting time as we invest in strengthening our accounting operations and improving the quality and robustness of our financial reporting, with a particular focus on the standardisation and automation of reconciliation and robust internal controls. What you will be doing: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS. Assist in financial reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, analysis and journal entries to support our VAT returns in the UAE and KSA Own the accounting for Intercompany Processes for the MENA region, including Transfer Pricing invoices and Intercompany Balance Sheet reconciliations Be responsible for the preparation, production, and review of regulatory returns in the region, in line with relevant reporting standards and local regulatory requirements Validate and reconcile data used in regulatory reports, ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy, resolving data quality issues when they arise Work with data teams and Group Regulatory Reporting to ensure data definitions and mapping are consistent with regulatory interpretations Help maintain and improve financial controls, ensuring the integrity of financial data. Work closely with the financial control manager to develop financial reports and provide insight into business performance. Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of necessary documentation. Be the key resource for internal and external audit activities of MENA entities, ensuring that all relevant documentation and reports are accurate and prepared on a timely basis and provided to external auditors. Draft the financial statements and relevant supporting workings, including notes to the financial statements, for all MENA entities, and work with the financial control manager to finalise the financial statements for director and external audit review Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Contribute to the global projects for example implementation of new financial systems, tools, and processes for better efficiency and accuracy. Act as primary cover for the MENA Associate, Financial Control Other adhoc accounting tasks as may be required from time to time as a result of operational changes and/or audit Qualifications Demonstrated experience of working in a high-volume, complex and dynamic environment, juggling multiple deliverables whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output. Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent preferred Qualified accountant or working towards an accounting qualification. Experience in a finance or accounting role with significant exposure to audit, preferably within an international or multinational company. Experience working with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g.Workday, Netsuite or similar) is an advantage. Good understanding of IFRS. Strong teammate player with a proven ability to work constructively with peers, other internal departments and external audit partners Experience with CBUAE requirements and UAE and KSA tax authorities is extremely desirable Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. High proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with data sets and reconciliations.
