Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead new business growth and expand our market presence. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in securing high-value business opportunities, leading enterprise sales engagements, and achieving revenue targets through effective client leadership and market strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue high-value business opportunities across key market segments, including B2B, B2C, and Incentive & Reward Platforms.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand the client base through senior-level engagements.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain robust, C-level relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations to foster long-term strategic partnerships.

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for enterprise clients, ensuring a seamless onboarding process and long-term satisfaction.

Sales and Revenue Generation:
  • Achieve and exceed monthly GMV targets of $2 million by the end of the third month, driving revenue growth through new enterprise client acquisition.

  • Create detailed commercial proposals and lead contract negotiations to close deals that align with company profitability goals.

Market Research and Strategy:
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for business expansion.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients industries, challenges, and needs to offer tailored, high-impact solutions.

Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams:
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to ensure leads generated by Business Development Executives (BDEs) are qualified and aligned with company goals.

  • Partner with the Marketing Team to develop and execute campaigns that enhance brand awareness and drive strategic lead generation.

Pipeline and CRM Management:
  • Maintain an up-to-date and detailed pipeline of prospects in the CRM system, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate forecasting.

  • Monitor and report on sales activity, performance metrics, and revenue generation to senior management.

Negotiation & Contract Closure:
  • Lead negotiations with senior stakeholders, managing complex discussions around pricing, terms, and contracts to secure high-value deals.

  • Ensure all agreements align with company objectives, balancing client satisfaction with strategic growth and profitability.

Client Onboarding & Handover:
  • Oversee the smooth transition of new clients from prospecting to account management, ensuring long-term success.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure client needs are met and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Track performance against monthly and quarterly sales targets, providing regular strategic updates to senior leadership.

  • Identify areas for improvement and adjust sales strategies to optimize long-term results.

Requirements:
  • Must have e-gift card, rewards, or loyalty program industries experience.

  • Proven experience in senior-level business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the gift card distribution, fintech, or digital payments industry.

  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding high-value B2B sales targets and scaling client portfolios.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and close deals with senior stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline and track performance.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to assess market opportunities and optimize sales strategies.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading key accounts, building long-term partnerships, and managing client expectations.

  • Ability to work independently, mentor junior team members, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
