Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee the civil and structural design activities during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of onshore projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as design reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil, structural, and infrastructure works (e.g., foundations, roads, drainage, buildings, pipe racks).
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., piping, mechanical, electrical) to ensure technical alignment.
  • Ensure all civil and structural designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations, including ADNOC standards.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, support constructability reviews, and provide inputs to planning and cost estimation teams.
  • Participate in design review meetings, client presentations, and interface coordination with stakeholders.
  • Review and resolve technical queries from contractors, vendors, and other engineering departments.
  • Support site teams during early construction planning and pre-construction activities, as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering for onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases.
  • Proficiency in design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
  • Solid understanding of international design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode) and ADNOC standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • ADNOC project experience is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Masters degree or postgraduate certification in structural or geotechnical engineering.
  • Experience with PMC or EPC contractors working on ADNOC or similar clients.
