To effectively manage the day to day work during control room shift duty ensuring a real-time safe, secure, reliable and economically operating power system. Supervise and support the work of Control Engineers.

Dispatch of power production facilities and Management of Load to ensure reliable and economic generation in line with requirements of PWPA, PPA s, Load Management, SOPs and system stability.

Manage Spinning reserve in accordance with relevant SOP.

Timely updating the documents related to Forced outages and planned outage and maintain records. Approve outages where required and respond to power station communications.

Coordinate power and Load Management with all parties involved in real time, IPPs, Discos, Water Department and External Utilities.

Verify monthly outage statistics for the purpose of invoicing by PWP

Control and issue of safety documents, permits to work, limitation of access and sanctions for testing

Prepare and issue daily operational reports and other reports as required

Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management, QHSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to Integrated Management System (IMS), ISO 55001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.
