Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • 220 kV GIS or above voltage levels

  • Alstom/GE Gas & Steam turbine Generators (Preferred)-Major maintenance activities

  • Power transformers testing and maintenance

  • DC/UPS system maintenance

  • GE/Converteam excitation system D3 and D4.2,

  • MV/LV switchgears, VFD, MOV

  • Involvement in power plant critical equipment obsolescence management like retrofit, complete system upgrade/replacement and periodical parts replacement projects.

  • Should have sound knowledge in handling emergencies, breakdowns and troubleshooting of perennial problems in power plant

  • Sound have knowledge in Protection relay testing (Preferably ABB REG670/ RET670/RED670/REF542, Areva P741/P742/ P542/P543/P143 and SEL 700 series relays)

  • Condition monitoring of electrical systems (PD testing, Thermography, DGA interpretation follow-up and others)

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: Combined Cycle Power Plant (at Aluminium plant or IWPP or IPP) experience preferably with Alstom 13E2 turbines.
