Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and management of detailed cost estimates for complex construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct thorough site visits and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to gather information for cost estimation.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project scopes and timelines, facilitating smooth communication and project execution.
- Utilize advanced estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the estimation process.
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with project budgets.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project profitability and minimize unforeseen costs.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and estimates to senior management and clients, showcasing transparency and professionalism.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is essential for a solid foundation in estimating principles.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in estimating within the construction industry, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project estimations.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Associate Estimating Professional (AEP) are highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects is critical to align with our diverse portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools is required to streamline the estimation process.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills are necessary for accurate cost calculations and financial assessments.
