Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary The L3 Systems & Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and management of DHA’s physical servers, virtual machines, Azure cloud infrastructure, and container platforms. The role ensures high availability, performance, security, and compliance of all managed environments while following ITIL-aligned processes and best practices.


Key Responsibilities :

Server / VM Management :

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers. 

  • Manage core services: DNS, DHCP, KMS, NAS/File Servers, Certificate Authority. 

  • Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization, and respond to alerts proactively. 

  • Apply OS and middleware hardening per CIS and ISO 27001 standards. 

  • Perform patching, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation. 

    Azure Management :

    • Manage Azure networking components: VNETs, NSGs, ASGs, Load Balancers, Traffic Manager, Front Door, VPN, ExpressRoute, and DNS zones. 

    • Administer Azure VMs, compute, storage, AKS clusters, container instances, and ACR. 

    • Implement backup, restore, HA, DR, and security best practices. 

    • Enforce access controls (RBAC, JIT, MFA) and identity management. 

    • Monitor Azure resources, logs, alerts, and optimize performance. 

    Container Platform Management :


    • Provide L3 administration for container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). 

    • Monitor platform health, stability, and performance. 

    • Apply patches, upgrades, and platform maintenance in coordination with DHA. 

    • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level incidents affecting availability or security. 

    • Track resource utilization, generate dashboards, and provide operational reporting. 

  • Manage administrative access and enforce account audits. 

  • Document procedures for health checks, server provisioning, and incident escalation. 

  • Liaise with vendors for server maintenance, warranty, and support issues. 

    General Responsibilities 

    • Participate in change management, incident management, and problem management activities. 

    • Maintain procedural documentation and SOPs. 

    • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards. 

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for seamless operations. 

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise server, cloud, and container management. 

  • Strong expertise in Windows Server OS administration. 

  • Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS services, networking, and security. 

  • Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS/OpenShift). 

  • Experience with monitoring, backup, and DR solutions. 

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Access, and Configuration Management). 

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

    Preferred Certifications 


    • Microsoft: 

    • AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator 

    • AZ-305: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (Optional) 

    • VMware: 

    • VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization) 

    • VMware Advanced Certification (Optional) 

    • Containers / Kubernetes: 


    • CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) 

    • ITIL / Service Management: 


    • ITIL 4 Foundation 

      Education 

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 


      • Equivalent practical experience may be considered.

      • Ability to work under pressure and in 24/7 support environments. 


      • Team player with good interpersonal skills. 

      • Continuous learner with up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies.
