Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Design Review:
    Review and approve Mechanical designs, drawings, and technical specifications from consultants and subcontractors.
    Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
    Conduct value engineering and suggest design improvements.
  • Site Execution & Supervision:
    Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical systems (e.g., lighting, power, fire alarm, BMS, ELV, etc.).
    Supervise Mechanical subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
    Ensure proper coordination with other trades (mechanical, civil, architectural).
  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and simulations using CAD and FEA tools to validate designs under real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electrical and software systems for optimized performance.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and client specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to enhance product reliability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology to drive innovation in product development.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms.
  • Oversee the testing and validation processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for designs, processes, and project outcomes to support future initiatives.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.
    Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve technical conflicts.
    Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance:
    Ensure all electrical works are carried out in compliance with safety standards and QA/QC procedures.
    Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
  • Project Management Support:
    Assist project managers in scheduling, procurement, and progress reporting.
    Track material delivery and ensure timely availability of equipment.
  • Client & Stakeholder Interaction:
    Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities for approvals and inspections.
    Participate in progress and technical meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, enhancing communication within diverse teams.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong attention to detail.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in building construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, and electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
