Senior Mechanical Engineer - water network/distribution Superiority of Modern Services LLC(SOMS)

provides technical leadership and support for mechanical engineering in asset management across water projects and operations. The role ensures reliable, compliant, and efficient design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain mechanical technical standards, specifications, drawings, and corporate documents.
• Conduct technical audits to ensure compliance of new and existing assets.
• Implement the Technical Authority system and certify discipline engineers.
• Perform techno-commercial reviews of equipment, materials, and technology proposals.
• Review installation, testing, commissioning procedures, and project deliverables (including as-built drawings).
• Provide mechanical inputs for project design documents, TORs, and basic/detailed designs.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, risk assessments, value engineering, and vendor evaluations.
• Support change management, feasibility assessments, and alternate design evaluations.
• Supervise factory and site inspections and investigate asset failures.
• Support operations with audits, rehabilitation, re-hauling, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to master planning, research, standards updates, and knowledge development.
• Prepare MIS and technical reports and perform other duties as assigned.
