Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Seeking a skilled Liability Underwriter to assess and underwrite Liability and Financial Lines risks and prepare quotations in line with NGI’s underwriting guidelines while working closely with brokers, BDEs, and clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and grow the Casualty and PI portfolio with minimal supervision, including preparing quotes within agreed TATs and managing renewals.

  • Handle Facultative Reinsurance placements and support the development of the fac inward book.

  • Liaise with BDEs, branches, and brokers to support negotiations and strengthen market relationships.

  • Support Operations to ensure timely release of documentation and maintain overall role objectives and KPIs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s Degree / MBA

  • Minimum 5 years’ underwriting experience in Casualty, including Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines.

  • Holding a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
