Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading all operational aspects of the MOTN project in Dubai, from initial planning through to post-event debrief. You will oversee site build, logistics, vendor integration, crowd management, and compliance, ensuring the highest delivery standards in line with client and government expectations. This role requires strategic oversight, hands-on problem-solving, and strong leadership of large on-site teams.
What You ll Do
- Lead operational strategy, planning, and execution for the project in Dubai.
- Oversee site layout, build schedules, and infrastructure installation, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage relationships with government entities, DCT, and key stakeholders to align on operational approvals and requirements.
- Supervise vendor operations, including F&B, security, cleaning, logistics, and infrastructure suppliers.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and emergency protocols in line with UAE regulations.
- Coordinate crowd management, guest services, ticketing operations, and accessibility arrangements.
- Ensure all operational documentation is accurate, including site plans, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
- Lead daily site briefings, inspections, and troubleshooting throughout the build, event, and dismantle phases.
- Manage post-event operational reporting, including lessons learned and supplier evaluations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree or relevant experience in operations management, event management, or logistics.
6+ years of experience in large-scale event operations, ideally in the UAE.
Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale site builds.
Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
In-depth knowledge of UAE health & safety regulations and operational compliance.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and crisis management abilities.
Comfortable working on-site in dynamic, high-pressure event environments.
Previous experience delivering large-scale cultural/public festivals.
Strong government liaison skills, particularly with DCT Abu Dhabi and Dubai Municipality.
Advanced crowd management planning experience.
