Senior Oracle Apps DBA Gerab System Solutions LLC

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Apps DBA who can independently manage end-to-end project implementations , SLA-driven operations, AMC support for managed services customers. The role requires a hands-on professional capable of owning design, solutioning, implementation, and ongoing support, while working independently and collaboratively as a team player across remote and onsite engagements. Key Responsibilities Oracle Database Administration

• Administer and maintain Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 23ai) ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security.

• Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and multi-node RAC configurations.

• Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations, including cross-platform migrations and PDB/CDB conversions.

• Develop and maintain Perl, Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL scripts for automation, monitoring, reporting, and auditing.

• Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategies aligned with RTO/RPO objectives.

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle Golden Gate (Classic & Microservices Architecture).

• Design and implement real-time data replication for high availability, DR, and zero-downtime migrations.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, tune performance, and manage lag for Golden Gate processes.

• Execute Golden Gate upgrades, patching, and Classic-to-Microservices migrations.

• Support Golden Gate environments as part of SLA-based managed services and project implementations.

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control.

• Implement and manage TDE, database security controls, hardening, and vulnerability remediation

• Ensure compliance with customer, audit, and regulatory standards.

• Support audits, operational governance, and compliance documentation

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Administration

• Upgrade and migrate Oracle EBS R12.1.3 to R12.2, including patching, custom code remediation, and impact analysis

• Setup and administration of multi-node Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments

• Perform cloning, patching, and lifecycle administration of EBS in hybrid (cloud + on premises) environments

• Handle EBS Sysadmin activities: user/responsibility management, concurrent manager setup, printer/forms registration

• Maintain EBS modules with strong focus on performance, availability, and compliance

• Plan and execute application-level DR drills, ensuring recoverability of both custom and seeded components

• Register and manage custom applications and modules within Oracle EBS

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Concurrent Processing issues

• Maintain and tune Oracle Workflow components for reliability and performance
  

Middleware & Cloud Technologies

• Setup, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic and Managed Server environments

• Integrate OEM-based monitoring for databases, EBS, middleware, and cloud workloads

• Design and support cloud migration projects (OCI, AWS, Azure), including architecture, planning, testing, and cutover

• Implement automation for cloud backups, DR replication, patching, and health monitoring
  

Managed Services & Customer Support

• Provide proactive monitoring and incident resolution aligned with SLA requirements

• Act as primary technical owner for assigned customers under AMC and managed services contracts

• Deliver onsite DBA support at customer locations when required

• Support multiple customers simultaneously, prioritizing incidents based on business impact

• Provide remote and onsite customer support, ensuring operational stability and customer satisfaction

• Participate in 24x7 on-call support, including weekends and holidays

  
  

Documentation & Process

• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation

• Prepare technical reports, RCA documents, and maintenance records

• Document architecture, configurations, and implementation procedures for projects and support

• Ensure adherence to internal processes and customer-defined operational standards
