Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a leading dental marketing agency with 150+ active clients, specializing in driving measurable ROI through paid advertising. With average client ad spends ranging from $1,500 $2,500 per month (some up to $5,000), the agency is seeking a senior-level Google Ads strategist to support the existing Paid Ads Team Lead, improve performance at scale, and bring structure and clarity to paid ads operations.

Role Overview

The Senior Paid Ads Strategist (Google-First) will oversee and optimize Google Ads accounts at scale, elevate performance across all client accounts, and support the current team lead. This role is designed for a high-level operator who understands ROI, can manage volume with systems and structure, and collaborates effectively with a GoHighLevel (GHL) expert for tracking and automation.

This is not an entry-level media buying role. The ideal candidate is a senior strategist who can immediately identify structural issues, implement performance improvements, and bring maturity and stability to the paid ads department.

Key Responsibilities Google Ads Optimization & Leadership

  • Oversee and optimize Google Ads accounts at scale, with a focus on performance, structure, and ROI

  • Manage and improve Search campaigns, Performance Max (PMax), local lead generation, budget scaling, conversion tracking, and call tracking

  • Support Meta strategy as needed, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives

  • Identify underperforming accounts, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions

  • Develop and refine SOPs and optimization frameworks to standardize processes and improve efficiency

Collaboration & Systems

  • Work closely with the Paid Ads Team Lead, GHL/CRM expert, and project manager to ensure seamless execution

  • Provide leadership with data-driven insights, clear reporting, and actionable recommendations

  • Collaborate on automation and tracking initiatives to streamline workflows and improve results

Mentorship & Quality Control

  • Mentor junior team members as needed, ensuring high performance and accountability

  • Improve quality control processes across 150+ client accounts

  • Contribute to the evolution of team structure and processes

  • Potentially grow into a broader leadership role based on performance and organizational needs

Qualifications Experience

  • 5 8+ years of experience managing Google Ads, with strong expertise in Search and PMax campaigns

  • Proven track record managing high account volumes or overseeing $2M+ in annual ad spend

  • Agency experience preferred

  • Dental industry experience is a plus, but not required

  • Experience working with CRMs such as GoHighLevel (GHL)

Skills

  • Deep understanding of CPL, CPA, ROI, and conversion rate optimization

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues

  • Expertise in budget scaling, local lead generation, conversion tracking, and call tracking

  • Process-oriented with the ability to manage high volumes without sacrificing quality

  • Collaborative, ego-free approach focused on team performance

  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools for optimization and reporting

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present clear, confident recommendations to leadership
