Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in the interior fit-out of 5-star and luxury hotels. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Architecture and have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience managing and executing high-end interior projects, with a strong preference for those with GCC experience.
This role requires a dynamic individual capable of leading project execution from design coordination through to handover, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget compliance in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the fit-out works for luxury hotel projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate and liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review architectural and interior drawings to ensure constructability and compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and standards, particularly within the GCC.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying and resolving potential delays or cost overruns.
- Supervise site activities to ensure high standards of workmanship and finishing, in line with luxury hospitality requirements.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, technical documentation, and material submittals for approval.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating technical compliance of materials and subcontractor packages.
- Implement quality control and health & safety procedures on-site.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate snagging, de-snagging, and final handover.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (mandatory).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project engineering, with at least 5 years in luxury hotel fit-out projects.
- GCC experience (preferred and highly advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out methods, finishes, materials, and high-end detailing.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience working with international hotel operators (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons, etc.).
- Strong network of suppliers and subcontractors within the GCC region.
- PMP or equivalent certification (optional but desirable).
