Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing
  • Validate banking/payment workflows and transaction processing systems
  • Perform API testing using Postman/REST Assured/SOAP tools
  • Conduct backend validation using SQL queries
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product teams
  • Identify, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA governance activities
  • Support production validation and root cause analysis
  • Ensure overall product quality and release readiness

Required Skills
  • 7+ years of QA experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
  • Strong experience in:
    • Test Planning
    • Test Case Design & Execution
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • API Testing
    • SQL/Database Validation
  • Experience working on:
    • Core Banking
    • Cards & Payments
    • Transaction Processing Systems
    • Financial Platforms
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Postman / REST Assured / SOAP UI
    • JIRA / Azure DevOps
    • SQL Queries
  • Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodology

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidates with exposure to core banking, cards & payments, transaction systems, or financial platforms will be highly preferred.

  • 7+ years of QA experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
  • Strong experience in:
    • Test Planning
    • Test Case Design & Execution
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • API Testing
    • SQL/Database Validation
  • Experience working on:
    • Core Banking
    • Cards & Payments
    • Transaction Processing Systems
    • Financial Platforms
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Postman / REST Assured / SOAP UI
    • JIRA / Azure DevOps
    • SQL Queries
  • Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodology

Preferred Skills
  • Automation testing experience using Selenium/Java/TestNG
  • Experience with Vision PLUS, Finacle, Temenos, or payment systems
  • Exposure to Kafka/event-driven systems is an advantage
  • Experience in UAT coordination and stakeholder communication

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in enterprise banking or financial product environments preferred
