Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
Monitor and control project costs, cash flow, and profitability.
Prepare and review monthly cost reports, valuations, and financial statements.
Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs.
Measure and value work executed, variations, and change orders.
Certify subcontractor measurements and payments.
Administer contracts in accordance with contract terms and conditions (e.g., FIDIC).
Manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EOTs), and final accounts.
Support preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolutions.
Support procurement strategy and subcontractor selection.
Prepare and evaluate tender packages and commercial comparisons.
Manage subcontract agreements and commercial performance.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and cost control teams.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior quantity surveyors.
Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Support audits and project close-out activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering projects, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
Professional certification such as RICS, CIOB, or equivalent, showcasing commitment to industry standards and ethics.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex financial scenarios and providing strategic insights.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving project goals.
A proactive approach to professional development, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies.
