We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to join our Engineering Consultancy team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the on-site construction activities of a major project, ensuring quality, and adherence to specifications, schedule, and budget. The candidate should have a strong background in engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage construction supervision projects, overseeing all on-site activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, local and safety regulations, budget and project timelines.

Provide comprehensive technical reviews at all project phases, from design development, bidding, and contract formation, through construction and final completion.

Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project delivery and quality. Identify and resolve construction-related issues, providing technical expertise and solutions to prevent delays.

Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes, verifying that all work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.

Oversee material procurement and deliveries to support construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and assigned discipline requirements.

Ensure that all required tests and inspections are conducted, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.

Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, change orders, and correspondence.

Collaborate with construction management to identify and eliminate potential hazards, safeguarding employee health and safety and ensuring environmental compliance.

Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master s degree or professional engineering license is preferred.

10+ years of experience in engineering consultancy or construction management and not contractor, with a focus on large-scale projects

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant local and international building codes and regulations.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Solid problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management systems

Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.

Must have a Valid SCE Membership (Professional and Consultant)

Must have a Valid IQAMA, if Non-Saudi
