Roles & Responsibilities
The Sales & Business Development Senior Manager leads the company's sales and business growth strategy, driving revenue generation, market expansion, and client acquisition in the wastewater, utilities, and O&M sector. The role ensures alignment of business development initiatives with the company's strategic objectives and long-term growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and client accounts.
- Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements with clients and partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, project, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Oversee proposal preparation, tender submissions, and technical-commercial documentation.
- Track, report, and analyze sales performance, pipelines, forecasts, and business growth metrics.
- Guide, mentor, and manage the sales and business development team to enhance their performance and capabilities.
- Identify and recommend service expansion, diversification, and strategic partnerships to strengthen market presence.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and contractual obligations.
- Provide strategic insights to senior management to support business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong customer feedback mechanisms to improve services and client engagement.
- Drive initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market recognition in the O&M and utilities sector.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Management is highly desirable
- 8 12 years of experience in sales, business development, or client management, preferably within O&M, wastewater, utilities, or industrial services.
- Experience in leading teams, managing large accounts, and winning major contracts is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to guide, mentor, and develop the sales team.
- Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Deep understanding of business development, sales cycles, and revenue growth strategies.
- Strong knowledge of the wastewater, utilities, and O&M sector, including market dynamics and client requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value clients, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting, and business analytics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to operate under pressure.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive initiatives, and achieve organizational growth objectives.
