Senior Software Engineer-JAVA

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services for eyewa s core platforms (e-commerce, OMS, POS, CRM integrations)
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices used by web, mobile apps, and in-store systems
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, from design to production rollout
• Work on payment integrations, order lifecycle, refunds, and reconciliation flows
• Collaborate with OPS, Supply Chain, and Customer Support teams to build reliable post-order systems
• Ensure high availability, performance, and data consistency across systems
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and raise overall engineering quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong ownership mindset
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8+)
• Strong experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Proven experience building microservices-based systems
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and system integrations
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience working in high-traffic, transaction-heavy systems
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Nice to Have:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, OMS, POS, or logistics systems
• Hands-on experience with payment gateways (Tamara, Stripe, Checkout, etc.)
• Experience with Kafka / RabbitMQ
• Exposure to AWS or cloud-native systems
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Redis or caching strategies
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, etc.)
