Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases

  • Perform manual and automated testing of backend APIs, frontend UI, and integrated workflows

  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage

  • Create and execute regression, smoke, sanity, load, and performance tests

  • Lead end-to-end testing cycles for new releases and major product updates

  • Implement and manage automation frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Selenium, Cypress)

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards for security, accessibility, and usability

  • Mentor junior QA testers and help refine QA processes and best practices

  • This role requires partial overlap with U.S. business hours.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years testing Laravel web applications

  • Strong understanding of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Proficiency in test case design, execution, and reporting

  • Experience with RESTful API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, Insomnia)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

  • Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar UI automation tools

  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Preferred Qualifications ISTQB or other QA certification

  • Experience with security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite)

  • Familiarity with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6)

  • Background in agile/Scrum methodologies
