Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Advise various departments on tax implications related to business transactions and business planning.
- Conduct thorough analysis of tax liabilities and develop strategies to optimize overall tax efficiency.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and prepare reports detailing their implications for the organization.
- Collaborate with auditors and external consultants during tax audits and ensure accurate and efficient interaction with tax authorities.
- Provide support in the development of tax policies and procedures to enhance compliance and manage risks.
- Train and mentor junior tax staff on tax processes and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field (Master s degree or relevant certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is advantageous).
- At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, with a strong emphasis on international tax issues.
- Deep understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax codes.
- Proficient in tax compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Prior experience in a large corporate environment or consultancy is preferred.
