Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain efficient storage systems, optimizing space and accessibility to enhance productivity and minimize retrieval times.
- Oversee the entire inventory management process, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment to meet operational needs.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations, addressing discrepancies immediately to uphold inventory integrity.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to streamline the receipt of goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in inventory management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports for management, enabling informed decision-making.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for storage areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to inventory, contributing to strategic planning and resource allocation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, ensuring a solid foundation in inventory principles.
- Certifications in inventory management or logistics, such as APICS or CILT, are highly regarded, showcasing a commitment to professional excellence.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries is advantageous, providing relevant insights into sector-specific inventory challenges.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is essential, enabling efficient tracking and reporting of stock levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and generate actionable insights from inventory reports.
- Excellent organizational skills, ensuring systematic storage and retrieval processes that enhance operational efficiency.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with suppliers, team members, and management seamlessly.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving, capable of addressing inventory challenges with innovative solutions.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed, ensuring hands-on involvement in inventory management tasks.
