Senior Technician Condition Monitoring EMIRATES GLOBAL ALUMINIUM (EGA)

JOB PURPOSE:
To collect various condition monitoring data from a wide range of plant equipment, identifying the developing problems, doing basic analysis and to advise Operations and Maintenance Departments accordingly.

2, KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Day to Day Operations

• Interprets results from routine vibration data collection using portable data collectors and condition monitoring software, then prepares basic reports.

• Performs other condition monitoring techniques including ultrasound, speed measurement, phase analysis, bump test, start-up / coast down, temperature measurement, motor current, and oil analysis where applicable; performs basic analysis and prepares basic reports. Undertakes corrective measures like in-situ balancing, etc.

• Performs surveys using infra-red imaging techniques.

• Monitors critical and frequently failing machines and recommends corrective actions.

• Inspects vibration data collectors, cables, and transducers periodically and maintains them on a day-to-day basis.

• Prepares reports from vibration analysis software, including downloading data from the analyser, and setting up and managing the condition monitoring database.

• Updates and analyses equipment history data using the CMMS system.

• Maintains and updates the failure log, condition monitoring data, machine details, and equipment history in CMMS and CM databases.

• Ensures that all predictive maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with company safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
