Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform routine vibration monitoring of rotating equipment using portable vibration analyzers and ensure accurate data collection.
Analyze vibration trends and spectrum data to identify early warning signs of misalignment, unbalance, bearing defects, or looseness.
Conduct other predictive maintenance activities including ultrasound, infrared thermography, and motor current signature analysis (if trained).
Upload vibration data into the condition monitoring system and update equipment history records for traceability.
Assist Reliability Engineers in planning corrective maintenance by providing timely alerts on abnormal machine behavior.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures or unusual vibration signatures.
Ensure condition monitoring equipment is calibrated, functional, and maintained in good condition.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, especially while working around rotating machinery and confined spaces.
Prepare daily and weekly reports detailing monitored assets, condition findings, and urgent issues.
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams for machine accessibility and validation of findings.
Label monitored equipment clearly with machine ID and maintain updated CM route sheets.
Support plant-wide reliability initiatives such as reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and lubrication optimization.
Participate in shutdown inspections, vibration baselining, and post-maintenance validation.
Recommend improvements in monitoring frequency, technology use, and asset criticality classifications.
Attend periodic training to enhance technical knowledge on vibration analysis and predictive maintenance techniques.
Job Authorities
Authorized to carry out condition monitoring tasks
independently as per assigned route.
Authorized to access equipment during monitoring and request
assistance for safe access.
Authorized to report abnormal readings and escalate critical
findings to Reliability Engineers.
Authorized to recommend additional tests or isolation of
equipment if serious issues are detected.
Accountabilities
Accountable for accuracy, quality, and completeness of vibration and
condition monitoring data.
Responsible for timely reporting of abnormalities and data entry into the
CMMS or predictive maintenance system.
Accountable for safe execution of monitoring tasks in compliance with
WARAQ’s safety standards.
Responsible for maintaining records and monitoring tools assigned for
daily use.
Common Responsibilities (Health, Safety, Environmental and Energy Management System)
Policy Development Design and implement health, safety, environmental, and energy management policies to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Training and Education: Conduct training sessions to educate employees about safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental best practices.
Risk Assessment: Perform regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, documenting findings, determining root causes, and recommending preventive measures.
Compliance Monitoring Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations by conducting inspections and maintaining compliance records.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting drills to ensure readiness for various emergency scenarios.
Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives throughout the organization.
Collaboration: Work with various departments to integrate safety and environmental considerations into operational processes and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance the organization’s health, safety, and environmental performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or any related field.
Training / Skills:
Certified Level I (or II) in Vibration Analysis – ISO 18436-2 (preferred)
Hands-on experience with vibration analyzers (e.g., SKF, Emerson, Pruftechnik, or similar)
Basic understanding of rotating machinery and failure modes
Computer literacy for data uploading and report generation
Minimum Expirience: 7-10 Years Exp.
