Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This role will be fully responsible for coordinating all local transportation
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for local transportation execution
2. Liaising with statutory bodies viz. Customs, DP World, pertaining to local deliveries.
3. Coordination with third parties for their deliveries.
4. Record delays and NCR at all stages of transportation.
5. Co-ordinate with Supply Chain to execute the sales as per agreed schedule and business requirements.
6. Coordinate with Terminal for loading requirements.
7. Maintains channels of effective communication with Sales, Purchase, Transport, Terminal Operations, Finance, etc.
8. Adhere to proper working procedures and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions through the analysis and investigation of problems, feedback and complaints.
9. Follow the standard operations procedure (SOP) and monitor own key performance indicator (KPI)
10. Make sure transportation is planned according to the agreed schedule & time frame.
11. Monthly Transport Reports.
12. Transport Invoice checking, coordination with Transporters on invoices being raised within the first 5 days of every month.
13. Invoices verification in Esker.
14. Work on cross-functional projects.

• Transportation and other Vendors
• Customers / Receivers
• Third parties (for whom storage and local transportation is done by PME)
Desired Candidate Profile
Competencies required to carry out the responsibilities:
a. Functional:
· Logistics execution
· Incoterms and related commercial and logistics implications, including Cargo risks and Insurance
· Road Logistics – Types of vehicles, restrictions (Packed/Bulk)
· Packaging and Terminal operations
· Chemicals product knowledge and transport compatibility
· Statutory requirements, permits and documentation
b. Interpersonal skills: patience, listening, and communicating; able to work well with others in a fast-paced working environment
c. Soft skills:
· Attention to detail: being able to follow procedures in the way the employer wants keeps the Customer experience consistent and in line with the company’s image.
· Problem-solving
· Collaborative working
· Customer focus
· Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willing to learn
· Time-management: Work on tight deadlines based on responsiveness required from Customers, Sales managers and Purchase managers
d. IT skills: MS-office; Online portals; Records management; ERP systems
e. Team player who has the discipline to work along and meet pre-defined deadlines
f. Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment
Pre-requisites:
· Academic qualification: Graduate in any discipline.
· UG / PG / Certification in Logistics will be an added advantage
· Experience: 4 years of relevant experience in Container and Road Logistics, related documentation
