Job Description

The Site Engineer is a vital role in the field of construction, responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering aspects of construction projects. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing processes to ensure that all projects meet the required standards and are completed on time and within budget. Site Engineers are instrumental in delivering projects efficiently by applying their technical expertise to interpret designs, plan work schedules, and ensure the project structure complies with legal regulations and safety standards. They act as the primary point of contact for technical and engineering aspects on-site, which involves liaising with consultants, clients, and engineers to solve complex problems and streamline operations.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate on-site activities to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
  • Interpret and enforce construction plans and specifications on the job site.
  • Serve as a liaison among clients, consultants, contractors, and other engineers.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment comply with project specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress and report daily updates to the project manager.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures across the project site.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff for skills development.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and quality checks throughout project stages.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost management, and procurement of construction resources.
  • Develop project status reports and maintain accurate documentation of processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve technical challenges encountered during construction.
  • Proactively ensure environmental compliance aligned with relevant regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a construction engineering role.
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and project management concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and plans accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
