Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Safely operate and navigate different types of boats, adhering to Minor Hotels and maritime safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on boats to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service during marine activities, including guided tours, fishing expeditions, and water sports.
- Prioritize the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests throughout their marine experiences.
- Strictly adhere to Minor Hotels' safety protocols, conduct regular safety briefings, and maintain a secure environment for guests and crew.
- Monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions to ensure the safety of marine activities.
- Plan and execute safe and scenic boat routes, considering factors such as weather conditions, guest preferences, and time constraints.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of the surrounding waters, landmarks, and points of interest.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the resort's operational teams to ensure seamless coordination of marine activities.
- Offer informative and engaging commentary during guided tours.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of marine equipment, ensuring all gear is in excellent condition.
- Assist guests in the proper use of water sports equipment when necessary.
Desired Candidate Profile
Valid Boat Skipper License and relevant maritime certifications.
- Proven experience as a Boat Skipper with a successful track record in marine operations.
- Excellent navigational and seamanship skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of local marine regulations and safety standards.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
