Job Description

A Software Sales Consultant is a professional responsible for selling and promoting software solutions to businesses and individual clients. This role involves identifying customer needs, demonstrating software functionalities, and closing sales deals to generate revenue for the company. The Software Sales Consultant must have a deep understanding of the software products offered, the competitive landscape, and the customer's industry to tailor solutions that best meet their needs. The role demands strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients. This position is crucial for driving growth and profitability within the organization, making it an integral part of the sales team.


Responsibilities
  • Identify potential clients within target markets and develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate clients on software capabilities.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure profitable and sustainable agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Identify and evaluate client's software needs through comprehensive consultation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to customize and implement software solutions for clients.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed sales proposals, quotes, and reports for management review.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitive software products, and technological advancements.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets on a consistent basis to contribute to company growth.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer relationships and document sales activities.
  • Provide post-sale support to ensure successful implementation and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in software or technology.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in competitive markets.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Excellent understanding of software products and their market applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and reporting.
