Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Club provides its members with a home away from home: a sanctuary for those seeking comfort, hospitality and elegance, with a level of quality, service and attention to detail that will leave them wanting for nothing.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Assist members and guests with their wine or sake selection, and serve wines/sake according to the Standard Operating
- Procedures, while providing friendly, courteous and professional service
- Ensure the wine and sake lists are up to date with correct vintages and prices, and that all products are stored properly in
- the cellar and on display
- Ensure mise-en-place and correct stock levels are in place before each service, and wines and sake are kept and served at
- the correct temperature
- Assist with monitoring and managing all glassware to ensure that all stock is maintained in an appropriate condition
- Keep operating costs to a minimum by efficient and responsible use of resources such as glassware and other
- equipment
- Support sales and ensure relevant/appropriate suggestions are made with regards to wine, sake and cocktails
- Display professional salesmanship and positive sales techniques at all times
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 2 years experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurant
- Internationally recognised professional certification
- Excellent level of English, written and spoken
- Ability to recommend food and wine/sake pairings
- Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work long shifts and stand for the extended period of time
- Impeccable manners
- Immaculate personal presentation and well-spoken
