Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Support the Chef de Cuisine in planning menus, recipes, and production schedules.
* Lead, motivate, and train junior kitchen staff to maintain a culture of excellence.
* Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in all kitchen areas.
* Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and waste control to optimize efficiency.
* Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
* Collaborate with the restaurant management and service teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
* Oversee kitchen maintenance and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
* Manage staff scheduling, discipline, and performance appraisals as required.
* Contribute to new menu development and continuous culinary innovation.
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Catering.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5-star international hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
* At least 1 2 years in a Sous Chef or similar leadership position.
* Expertise in Asian and contemporary cuisine preferred.
* Strong understanding of HACCP, kitchen management, and operational controls.
* Proven ability to manage diverse teams and work under pressure.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Passionate about culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
