Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, with a focus on authentic Lebanese cuisine.

  • Lead and inspire the culinary team in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality Lebanese dishes for la carte, buffet, and banquet services.
  • Ensure that all recipes, presentations, and flavors remain consistent and in line with MGallery and brand standards.
  • Develop and innovate menu offerings that balance authenticity with creativity, reflecting local and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety as per HACCP guidelines.
  • Supervise mise-en-place preparation and ensure the smooth flow of kitchen operations during service.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Control food costs through efficient inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team in planning menus for special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.

Desired Candidate Profile

Your experience and skills include:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Culinary diploma or professional certification in culinary arts
  • In-depth knowledge of Lebanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
