Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities

Cloud Operations & Optimization
Oversee daily cloud operations, including monitoring, provisioning, and performance tracking.
Manage and track cloud billing across business units, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Drive cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and automation.
Maintain operational health of cloud workloads and coordinate issue resolution with support teams and vendors.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Security, Compliance) to align cloud strategy with organizational goals.
Act as the primary liaison between cloud vendors and internal teams to manage escalations, SLA performance, and roadmap alignment.
Support cloud governance initiatives, including policy implementation, audit support, and risk management.
Customer-Facing Engagement
Serve as the point of contact for business units consuming cloud services.
Translate business requirements into cloud service solutions in collaboration with technical teams.
Conduct cloud usage reviews with stakeholders and provide actionable insights for improvement.
Support onboarding and enablement for new teams adopting cloud services.
Qualifications

Required technical skills

Overall 8+ years of experience, with 4+ years of experience in cloud operations, cloud management, or cloud platform support and 4+ years of experience in client facing roles.


Working knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, G42 Cloud).
Strong understanding of cloud billing, subscriptions, licensing, and tagging policies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in customer-facing settings.
Preferred Technical Skills
Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent).
Experience with cost management tools (e.g., Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth).
Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to communicate technical and financial information to non-technical audiences.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidates should have 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in cloud operations and client-facing roles.

A strong understanding of cloud billing and experience with public cloud platforms is essential.
