Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • CA / CAT Intern/ACCA qualified (mandatory)

  • Strong UAE experience in IT, Trading, Contracting, or Project-based companies

  • Hands-on expertise in Project Accounting, Cost Control, and Revenue Recognition

  • Proven experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, and P&L management

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS standards and statutory compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support all accounting procedures and financial systems used by the organization.

  • Prepare and review financial reports and forecasts, including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and tax returns.

  • Examine accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and reporting standards.

  • Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and monitor progress of ongoing projects.

  • Prepare financial analysis, dashboards, and management reports to support business decision-making and planning.

  • Identify, monitor, and manage financial risks related to business activities.

  • Compile financial reports and assist in supervising month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Review and validate purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring efficient utilization of approved budgets.

  • Support the smooth operational performance of the finance team and contribute to staff training and development on financial and operational processes.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting and analysis.

  • Liaise with department heads to understand reporting requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Present financial insights and findings to Finance Manager, senior management, and stakeholders as required.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and statutory obligations.

  • Maintain and improve financial reporting templates and dashboards for clarity and usability.

  • Handle payroll entries, validations, and provision schedules

  • Support finance transformation initiatives and process improvements under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

  • Provide backup support during staff absence or leave periods when required.

  • Perform ad hoc assignments and administrative or operational tasks as assigned by management.

ERP / Systems Exposure:

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or similar platforms

  • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Experience in ERP implementation, migration, or system optimization is an added advantage

Desired Candidate Profile

WORK EXPERIENCE • 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role.

KNOWLEDGE • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, regulatory and compliance requirements, including IFRS.

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate meaningful insights.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and advanced spreadsheet tools.

  • Strong experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business requirements.
