Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are hiring for one of our prestigious clients – the largest Oil & Gas Refinery in Kuwait – for the position of Sr. Engineer – Research & Technology on a long-term basis.

The selected professional will be responsible for reviewing, executing, and coordinating Research & Technology (R&T) programs/projects in refinery operations, ensuring delivery within schedule and budget while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and environment.


  • Review and evaluate proposals for Research & Technology (R&T) projects in refining.
  • Coordinate the implementation and execution of R&T initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Review technical documentation and reports generated across project stages.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges during execution.
  • Prepare periodic reports and participate in review meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Petroleum Refining with exposure to:
    Process Engineering
    Process Design
    Environmental Engineering
    Inspection / Corrosion
    Energy Optimization
  • Prior experience in Research & Technology programs in refining is highly preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
