Key Responsibilities:


Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashers or by hand. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and floors. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas, including waste disposal.
Ensure that kitchen equipment and tools are in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damage. Assist in the organization and storage of kitchen supplies and equipment. Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain high hygiene standards.
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and mixing ingredients. Assist with the preparation of mise en place (ingredients and tools) as directed by chefs.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of chemicals and cleaning supplies. Ensure that all cleaning activities are performed in accordance with hygiene standards.
Handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly. Ensure that waste areas are kept clean and organized.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure that their needs for clean and functional equipment are met. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
