Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all stewarding operations.
Prepare and manage stewarding schedules to ensure effective staff deployment.
Maintain hygiene and safety documentation, cleaning checklists, and records.
Train and coach stewards to improve performance and achieve departmental targets.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
Control chemical usage and monitor proper handling to manage costs.
Conduct inventories of kitchen utensils and cutlery, ensuring proper upkeep.
Assign tasks to staff, follow up on maintenance requests, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Adhere to company policies and attend departmental briefings to support open communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Hospitality Degree, preferably with emphasis on hygiene and safety.
- Strong knowledge of dishwashing procedures, sanitation standards, and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting and inventory tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Cooperative team spirit with proven coaching and training skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
