Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the Stewarding team in all operational functions, including cleaning, organization, and maintenance of F&B restaurants, kitchens, loading dock areas, and storage spaces

  • Coordinate and maintain the cleanliness and proper care of all F&B equipment, including china, silverware, glassware, cookware, banquet equipment, and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure timely delivery and setup of equipment for banquet and restaurant functions while maintaining clear communication between the Stewarding team and Culinary and Restaurant Management teams
  • Receive, inspect, and oversee proper storage of food and dry goods within kitchens, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with food safety standards
  • Train, mentor, and develop Stewarding team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Review banquet event orders and verify that all setups and supplies are in place according to banquet requisitions
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure all machinery is in working condition; promptly report any defects or malfunctions to management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including all equipment and storage spaces, in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Deliver professional, friendly, and proactive service while supporting colleagues and promoting a positive team atmosphere
  • Follow and enforce all department policies, procedures, and service standards consistently
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Candidate Profile

1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in a hospitality, food service, or stewarding environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with team members and other departments
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in noisy, high-pressure environments while maintaining composure and a positive demeanor
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and health and safety regulations
  • Proven team leadership and motivational abilities with experience training and developing staff
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Knowledge of stewarding operations, kitchen equipment, and F&B procedures
  • Strong conflict resolution and empathetic communication skills
