Roles & Responsibilities
Job description
Job Purpose
This position plays an important role in proper care and maintenance of stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory. The role is assisted by pickers and helpers
Main Tasks & Accountabilities
Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
Maintain a high level of cleanness and hygienic standards in all storage areas
Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
Secure the status of each supply
Receive, unload, and shelve supplies
Disseminate the supply in its designated areas.
Receive and unpack materials and supplies
Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
Monitor the expiry date of the store items & inform accordingly to the immediate supervisor.
Maintain necessary records with accuracy of information (number and kind of supplies) and should follow always FIFO method of issuing.
Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
Check materials and supplies and reports when stock is low
Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs
Coordinate the disposal of surpluses/damaged goods
Follow FEFO
Education Level Minimum Requirement
High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification
Professional Qualifications
Valid driver s license and willingness to acquire and maintain forklift certification
Through understanding of standards of HACCP in storage practices
Work Experience
Prior working experience of 1-3 years in a similar position
Job Specific Skills
Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store
Generic Skills
Must be alert, strive for accuracy, and have ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment, be a self- motivator, and attention to detail
Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
Integrity, discretion and loyalty
Position Location
All depots across Oman
Travel domestic and international.
