Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

Support the COO Leadership team design their strategy by selecting the objectives the organization needs to focus on, the indicators to measure performance, the targets to be pursued and the initiatives that will be required to achieve the desired performance

Ensure Execution of Strategic Initiatives and act as a liaison among the distinct areas to ensure that the initiatives receive the necessary resources and attention for their completion

Ensure COO Office strategic goals and objectives are aligned with the overall bank strategy to guarantee we are all working towards a common objective

Ensure LoBs / LoFs fully understand the COO Strategy through adequately communicating the strategy s evolution to the rest of the organization

Organize and lead Strategic Review Meetings during which COO S&P analyzes Strategy execution s performance

Conduct annual reviews on the COO Strategy, as it is a hypothesis that must be continuously tested to prove its validity

Manage Projects raised by all COO Functions

Identify Projects key stakeholders and Arrange Official Kick-Off meetings

Review Projects Requirements with Business Owners

Develop Business Cases and Identify measureable benefits

Track and Record COO Portfolio Benefits Realization

Support in preparing weekly / monthly projects portfolio dashboards and status reports to COO / Business Owners / Projects Sponsors / Stakeholders

Set Projects Plans and Key Milestones with IT / Business Owners

Ensure Projects Budget are allocated and approved as per the authority matrix

Organize and Facilitate Steering Committee Meetings and Working Groups

Engage heavily with Business Owners during projects lifecycle and Drive COO Projects from kick-off until final delivery

Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including the COO community, Lines of Businesses and Lines of Functions.

Act as single point of contact in-between the COO Teams and key stakeholders (i.e. IT / Strategy Office).

Support all COO initiates and ensure implementation in a timely manner.

Governance & Documentation support in ensuring appropriate governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation and supporting management policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Master's degree is preferred.

Professional Certification

Language Skills

Written and spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred

Years of Experience

Around 10 years of experience with preferred 4 years in a relevant role.

Nature of Experience

Prior experience in banking

Desired Candidate Profile
