Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement subcontracting strategies aligned with project requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements, terms, and conditions in line with FIDIC and company standards.
  • Evaluate and prequalify subcontractors, maintaining an updated database of reliable vendors and partners.
  • Manage the tendering process for subcontract packages, including RFQs, bid analysis, and recommendations for award.
  • Administer subcontract agreements during execution, including monitoring performance, variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure subcontractor compliance with scope, quality, HSE, and delivery schedules.
  • Support cost control by identifying opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
  • Ensure timely certification of subcontractor payments, variations, and claims management.
  • Liaise with legal and commercial teams for risk management and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare periodic reports on subcontracting activities and performance for management review

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in contracts and subcontract management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within general contracting/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract, commercial terms, and subcontracting best practices.
  • Proven experience in handling large-scale civil and infrastructure projects in UAE.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and work under pressure.
