Position Objective:

• Subject matter advisor within the gas and energy industry to support the Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence Program.
• Provide strategic input on gas sourcing, dispatch operations, and fuel logistics to shape AI-enabled and data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational realities with digital workflows and predictive models.
• Validate data, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance the integrity of smart asset and IoT systems.
• Bridge industry expertise with emerging technologies to drive impactful and sustainable transformation outcomes.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate gas supply chain and dispatch processes into scalable digital and AI-driven solutions.
• Provide domain input to the development of predictive models related to fuel demand, supply disruptions, and cost optimization.
• Assess and validate data sources, ensuring contextual accuracy and alignment with operational KPIs.
• Guide the design and implementation of digital workflows, including pipeline monitoring and real-time energy tracking.
• Support the development of smart energy interfaces, leveraging IoT and edge technologies to optimize asset performance.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and risk factors associated with energy dispatch and gas distribution.
• Review AI and analytics outputs to ensure insights are actionable and relevant to field operations.
• Lead scenario planning and energy mix modeling to support strategic forecasting and resilience initiatives.
• Collaborate with technology and engineering teams to embed SME logic into algorithms, decision engines, and user interfaces.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, design thinking workshops, and end-user engagements to drive adoption.
• Benchmark against best practices in the global gas and energy markets to ensure continuous innovation.
• Contribute to transformation roadmaps, providing thought leadership and identifying value levers across the energy domain.
• Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between digital deliverables and business outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Energy Engineering, Petroleum Economics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in the gas and energy sector, with a focus on gas sourcing, dispatch operations, and cost management.
• Proven track record of working with energy dispatch centers, fuel logistics, or gas supply chain optimization.
• Experience supporting or leading digital transformation initiatives, preferably involving AI, data analytics, or IoT-enabled systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational constraints, and market dynamics in the gas and energy industry.
• Exposure to smart infrastructure, including pipeline monitoring systems, digital twins, and asset performance management platforms.
• Familiarity with the Saudi energy market and its evolving operational and regulatory landscape is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business, technical, and digital teams in large-scale transformation programs.
• Prior involvement in data validation, scenario modeling, or predictive analytics is a significant advantage.
• Certifications or formal training in energy systems, digital transformation, or AI for industry is desirable.
