Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain / procurement

• Previous experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product requirement forms for each pharmaceutical product to be developed

• Coordinate material requirements across multiple departments, including:

o Formulation R&D

o Quality Control

o Analytical R&D

o Stability

• Manage procurement of the following materials:

o Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs)

o Excipients

o Reference Standards (BP, USP)

o HPLC and GC columns

o Analytical reagents

o Blister packaging foils (ALU/ALU, ALU/PVC)

• Ensure timely availability of all required materials, understanding that the absence of even a single item can delay product development

• Plan, monitor, and execute procurement schedules to meet project timelines

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations

Supplier & Logistics Management

• Maintain strong supplier connections for APIs and excipients in India and China to achieve competitive pricing and fast delivery

• Manage international logistics primarily through air shipments

• Possess working knowledge of sea freight shipments from:

o India

o China

o Germany

o Korea

• Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of machinery and laboratory instruments

• Finalize supplier negotiations and issue purchase orders

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials and regulatory requirements

• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Good negotiation and vendor management skills

• Strong communication skills to coordinate with factory teams in Iraq

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement activities
