Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Assist with installation and testing of vehicle-mounted computers and equipment Perform basic tasks on Linux (Ubuntu) systems using the terminal Carry out simple network setup and checks (setting IP addresses, ping testing, LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity) Support installation of cameras, sensors, and peripheral devices in vehicles Assist with basic DC electrical work (12V/24V power, checking voltage with a multimeter) Follow installation checklists and troubleshooting guides Support field operations and on-site technical tasks Report issues clearly and escalate when required Required Skills Basic exposure to Linux or Ubuntu (not mandtory, can learn on the job, but must be comfortable on a PC) Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP address, ping, Ethernet) Basic knowledge of DC electrical systems or electronics Comfortable working with eletricians tools and physical installations Willingness to learn and work in field environments
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory / Strongly Preferred Valid UAE driving license (strongly preferred) Comfortable driving between sites and working on vehicles Nice to Have Diploma or degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Engineering, or similar Experience with PCs, embedded systems, or vehicle electronics Familiarity with cameras, USB devices, or networking equipment Personal Attributes Practical and hands-on mindset Reliable and punctual Good communication skills Comfortable working independently after training
