Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking to employ a Science Teacher to join our highly effective Science Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of motivated and committed teachers who place the students at the heart of learning.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.
- Have experience in teaching all three sciences at KS3
- Have the ability to teach all GCSE sciences, specialising in chemistry or physics and ideally experience teaching A Level chemistry or physics as well.
- Support teaching and learning using practical lessons and teacher demonstrations wherever possible.
- Have a proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
- Have very strong pastoral skills and experience in supporting students
- Be able to work collaboratively and be able to share best practice with colleagues
- Be willing to lead and participate in enrichment activities in science to support the learning in the classroom
- Be able to use data effectively to support students learning and progress
- Hold a recognized degree with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Be invested in self-improvement though engagement with the broad spectrum of CPD options available at South View School.
