Technician - Tool Room GAL

1. Receives, stores, issues hand tools, machine tools, dyes, materials, and equipment in industrial establishment

2. Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.

3. Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.

4. Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.

5. Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.

6. Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometre and reports damage or wear to supervisors.

7. Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can.

8. Delivers tools, equipment and consumables to workers, manually or using hand truck.

9. Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.

10. Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and orders new equipment when needed.

11. Maintains records of tool use.

12. Ensures tool control and accountability is enforced in compliance with current policies and procedures

13. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Maintenance Operations at the Facility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality aircraft maintenance service and a responsible environmental attitude

14. Sponsors opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practices and changes in the competitive environment.

15. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
