Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Monitor infrastructure dashboards and alerts for issues or degradation
Perform routine checks on servers, virtual machines, storage systems, and operating system services
Validate backup job status and system health indicators
Respond to L1 infrastructure incidents and service requests
Perform basic troubleshooting including service restarts, resource checks, and log review
Log incidents accurately and escalate unresolved issues to Senior Specialist
Assist during scheduled maintenance windows and post-maintenance validation
Support patch verification and routine operational tasks
Monitor backup schedules and report failures
Support basic restore validation under supervision
Maintain accurate ticket notes, checklists, and operational logs
Update basic infrastructure documentation and knowledge base entries
Work closely with Senior Specialists to develop troubleshooting skills
Participate in training and operational readiness activities
Follow SOPs and runbooks consistently
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline
Foundational certifications such as Linux+, RHCSA, or equivalent preferred
2-3 years of experience in infrastructure operations, NOC, or IT support roles
Basic understanding of servers, virtualization, storage, and operating systems
Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
