Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of terminal and flat store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily activities.
  • Manage inventory levels, including stock control, ordering, and reconciliation, to minimize waste and optimize storage.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of store personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to storage and handling of goods.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, tracking expenses and maximizing profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring customer retention.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates at least 5 years of experience in terminal or flat store management within the retail or logistics industry.
  • Nationality Preference: Open to all nationalities, with a preference for candidates with experience in the local market.
  • Requires fluency in English (written and spoken), with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
  • Exhibits strong technical skills in inventory management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possesses excellent soft skills, including leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong personal qualities such as integrity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Requires physical abilities to lift and move heavy objects, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Candidates need to be able to read and write in English, and any other language would be an added advantage.
