Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our Managed Security Services Research and Threat Intelligence team. This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate passionate about cybersecurity and eager to develop expertise in threat intelligence. The successful candidate will support internal teams by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable threat intelligence to enhance our clients' security posture and improve incident detection and response capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

Threat Intelligence Collection:

Gather threat intelligence data from open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, dark web sources, and internal telemetry to identify emerging threats and trends.

Monitor threat actor activities, techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) to provide relevant intelligence updates to internal teams.

Analysis and Enrichment:

Analyze collected data to identify patterns, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and potential risks to clients and MSS infrastructure.

Correlate threat intelligence with internal security events and incidents to provide enriched, actionable insights.

Conduct research on vulnerabilities, exploits, malware, and cybercrime campaigns to improve team understanding of the threat landscape.

Threat Intelligence Reporting:

Create detailed threat intelligence reports, including IOCs, threat actor profiles, and attack methodologies, for internal teams and clients.

Provide regular briefings and alerts on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and significant cyber events.

Summarize complex technical information into clear, concise, and actionable deliverables tailored to different audiences.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Work closely with SOC analysts, incident response teams, and vulnerability management teams to ensure threat intelligence aligns with operational needs.

Assist in building and maintaining threat intelligence workflows, including the development of detection rules and automation playbooks.

Provide recommendations to improve security controls and defenses based on threat intelligence findings.

Continuous Learning and Development:

Stay updated on the latest developments in cybersecurity, including new tools, techniques, and threats.

Participate in training sessions, certifications, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.



Desired Candidate Profile

Relevant coursework or projects in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or malware analysis is a plus.

Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, or the Cyber Kill Chain.

Knowledge of tools and platforms such as threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM, or OSINT tools is a plus.

Exposure to scripting languages like Python or Bash is advantageous but not mandatory.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and interpret threat data effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create clear and concise reports.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced MSSP setting


Preferred:

Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), or GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) are a plus.
