The position requires a proactive approach to learning and applying merchandising principles while contributing to store events such as product launches and seasonal sales. The Sales Assistant directly contributes to achieving sales targets through effective customer engagement and transactional accuracy.

What You Will Do:

Customer Service

• Provide high level customer service at all times, both internal and external.

• Assist and advise customers in a professional manner using product category knowledge.

Sales Operations

• Operate the point of sales system as required, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.

• Utilize selling techniques to drive sales and meet store targets.

Product Knowledge and Merchandising

• Actively learn product uses and benefits to advise customers on the right purchases.

• Apply merchandising principles to ensure a corporate image and a visually appealing store.

Inventory and Stock Management

• Assist with receiving and displaying goods in accordance with approved procedures.

• Ensure products are available for customer purchase.

• Comply with in-store procedures related to ticketing and pricing to avoid customer confusion.

Event Participation

• Assist in events such as stock take, new store openings, product and seasonal launches.
